The chalet

Stone, carved wood and a real fire.

Chalet Falcon was built in 1977 in the old Valaisan way: rendered stone walls, carved balconies, arched windows with their original ironwork, and a wooden mazot by the dry-stone wall. We have owned it since 2010 and renovated it to a high standard, with two more ensuite rooms planned for 2027.

The heart of the house is the triple-height lounge. An open stone fireplace burns real logs, a mezzanine with a library, cinema screen and games looks down from above, and tall windows face the orchard garden. The Bruson ski route passes behind the garden, so on good snow days you can ski home.

In winter Falcon is a ski chalet with a fire and a hot tub. In summer the orchard garden takes over: long tables outside, the hot tub under the stone roof, and the lifts to Verbier included in your stay.

We moved to Switzerland from Scotland in 2007 and soon made the Val de Bagnes home. Falcon keeps a little of home: porridge on the stove, a good whisky by the fire, and a few nights in the calendar worth planning a trip around.

How do I pay, and is there a deposit?

By card through our secure Lodgify checkout: 50% when you book and the rest 30 days before arrival. Prepayments are non-refundable, so we recommend travel insurance. A refundable security deposit of CHF 5,000 is taken before arrival and returned after checkout.

How many can stay?

Sixteen: fourteen in the six bedrooms (Eagle, Robin, Buzzard, Kestrel, Woodpecker and Owl) and two on the mezzanine on request, plus a cot for an infant. More ensuite bathrooms are planned for 2027.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes, by arrangement. There is even an outdoor kennel in the garden, and dogs are welcome on the gondola.

Is it really ski-in?

On good snow days, yes: the Bruson ski route passes behind the garden. For Verbier you walk to the Le Châble gondola in about five minutes.

Can we have meals cooked for us?

Yes. Add a continental breakfast or home-cooked dinners to any stay, for as many days as you like. Fully catered weeks with a chef and host all week start in December 2027.

What about tourist tax?

The commune charges CHF 3 per adult per night and CHF 1.50 for children aged 6 to 16, added at checkout. From June to October it includes the Verbier VIP Pass.

Le Châble, under the gondola.

Falcon sits in the valley village below Verbier. The gondola, the station, bakeries and restaurants are all close by, and your group arrives without a single transfer.
